Bidar: May 11, 2011. The Pre-University (plus two) examination results have been announced in Karnataka. For Bidar it was as usual, with Shaheen College topping the results in the entire Bidar District. Shaheen P.U. College of Bidar achieved 83.61 results maintaining first position in the district. Out of 415 students appearing for the exam from the college the results are: Distinction 23, First Class 192, Second Class 28, and pass class 50. Last year’s District toper Syed Anwar was also a Shaheen Student.
Asma Samrin secured 87.17 percent. She hails from a respectable and poor family. Her father Muhammad Yousuf says, “My daughter Samrin is very studious and her aim is to serve the community by becoming a doctor. But my financial conditions do not allow me to think of Medical Education. I am thankful to Shaheen group for granting their scholarship in P.U.C. Muhammad Mushtaque Ahmad had his education in Kannada Medium Government School up to tenth standard. He joined Shaheen P.U. College and had free education under SSG. By securing 90.33 percent this year he stunned everyone. But he was sure of his achievement. He said, “I was sure of getting distinction because I was sure of the valuable hard work of our lecturers on whom we depended. My advice to other students is that if you work hard continuously with your studies, distinction and rank are easy to get.”
Muhammad Hussainuddin Madani secured 91.61. Another student Nagraj who belongs to Lingayath community is famous for his extempore speeches not only in the college, but all over the city. He secured 84 percent. His secret of success as he said is, “not watching TV. I have not seen TV for the past five years. Here in Shaheen there is no other way but to study.”

Shaheen P.U. College Principal Shafeeque says, “Our students come from Urdu and Kannada English media. We give coaching to increase their educational performance.
We not only admit English medium or CBSE but from all media and still bring 83.61 percent, this is a record. Our college is top in Bidar town. Large number of first class results in Bidar District come from Shaheen. Efforts of teachers and students are commendable.” Vice Principal Nusrath Jabeen says, “There are no differences as rich, poor, slow learners or meritorious students here. Shaheen Scholarship Exam 2011
Shaheen Scholarship Exam for this year will be conducted on 26 May, 2011 at Shaheen Education Centre Ahmad Bagh, Bidar. Shaheen Institutions have established a “Shaheen Scholars Group” (SSG) and are providing two years sponsorship for talented students, from economically weaker sections of Muslim community. Students are selected through an entrance examination and these students are provided with all facilities of Education, Boarding, and lodging free of cost.
Shaheen Scholars Group is giving free education to 100 students every year since 2008.
