Musilm League Demands Restoration of Pensions

Muslim League leaders handing over the memorandum to DC, Belgaum.

Belgaum. March 21, 2012. The district unit of Indian Union Muslim League has demanded the restoration of pensions to widows and aged people in the state. In a memorandum sent to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner the party has stated that several poor widows and aged people are still living under the hope the government will continue their monthly pension money which was abruptly discontinued by the state government. The BJP government’s claim to be the messiah of the poor is proved bogus by its attitude towards the hapless section of the society. League leaders Mr. Aijaz Lodhi, Mr. Dastagir Khan and others met the district authorities here.
