Abdullah Javeed Reappointed Jamaat Chief in Karnataka New Zone Status for Goa

Bangalore May 03, 2011 KMNN: Mr. Muhammad. Abdullah Javeed was today reappointed as the President of Karnataka Unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH Amir-e-Halqa of Karnataka) for the term 2011 to 2015. This is the second term for Mr. Abdullah.

JIH sources said, from this term the state of Goa is separated from Karnataka and been made independent zone for all administrative purposes. Mr. Abdul Wahid Khan of Mapusa (Goa) is appointed the first president of Goa zone.

The president, 41 year old Mr. Javeed is a Master’s Degree holder in Nuclear Physics and also has completed his Islamic studies from Islamic Academy under the guidance of Dr. Abdul Huq Ansari.   Hailing from the historical town of Raichur he had earlier served as state president of Students Islamic Organization of India and later as its National General Secretary. Afterwards he joined JIH as state secretary under the presidentship of Mr. Iqbal Mulla and again during the tenure of late President Mr. Ibrahim Sayeed.  In the last term he took charge as President from Mr. Sayeed.  A prolific writer, Mr. Javeed is known for his deep knowledge of Quran and Hadith.  He is well versed with the modern tools of communication and makes impressive PPT presentations of Quranic teachings.
