Bangalore: With a view to make Muslim women aware of their role in reforming the society and to keep a tab on the various evils plaguing the modern cultural milieu, the women’s wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Karnataka and Goa Zone has launched a tri-lingual magazine.
‘Awaaz-e-Niswan’ carries articles and write-ups on Islamic teachings about women, in Urdu, English, and Kannada.
The nice-looking magazine has quotes from the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith. The articles provide solution to various day-to-day problems being faced by women at home, educational institutes, and the workplace.
Besides, the ill-effects of the Western society like egotism, materialism, etc have been discussed in detail. The magazine focuses on restoring the sanctity of human relationships. At a time when revealing their bodily curves is considered a ‘professional necessity’ for women to succeed, the magazine seeks to reinforce the Islamic teachings of modesty and decency.
