Jamiatul ulema-e-hind, karnataka condemns RSS leader’s statement

Bangalore:
Jamiatul Ulema Karnataka President Mufti Iftikhar Ahmad Qasmi has strongly criticized the recent anti-Islamic statements of former RSS chief Mr. Sudarshan. Mufti Khasimi termed Sudarshan’s statements as “based on either ignorance or said with mischievous or malicious motives.”

Mr. Sudarshan had recently participated in an Eid Milan gathering organized by ‘Rashtriya Muslim Manch’ in Bangalore. There was a strong outburst of opposition from the participants who alleged, “Sudarshan tried to tarnish the image of Islam with his irreverent and wrong statements about the Holy Quran, Kaaba, and Prophet Muhammad (S).” He was subjected to questions and strong criticism on the spot by the knowledgeable persons present in the gathering.

Mufti Qasmi advised the Manch not to invite people like Mr. Sudarshan in Eid Milan functions as the very purpose of the functions gets defeated. About his alleged anti-Islamic statements, he said “it should be condemned in strongest terms.” Juloos-e-Muhammadi Convenor Mr. Afsar Baig said, “If Sudarshan wants to know about Islam, he should discard the Rashtriya Muslim Manch, Mr. Iliyasee, Mr. Muzaffar Hussain, and seek knowledge from Ulema.” He advised Surdarshan to dispel his ignorance and learn about Islam before saying anything on the subject.
