Raichur: Calls for affirmative action for Muslims in various fields may have been put on the back burner, but the community has not given up its struggle for the cause.
With a view to seek a 12 percent quota in education, jobs, and the political process in the Karnataka, a six-district conference has been scheduled at the Princess Fatima Esin College here on January 30, 2011.
Being organised by the Dalit Muslim Backward Federation, the conference is likely to be attended to former Chief Minister and JD (S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy.
Mr. Abdul Hameed, Chairman of the Faran Education Society, Gulbarga will preside over the function. Chief guests include former M.P.
